Innovative upper structure for optimal fit
The Specialized SW Torch Lace Road Shoe features a revamped upper material that provides reinforcement in essential areas. This, combined with adaptive zones, ensures a fit that seamlessly disappears around the foot. The result is ultimate comfort and stability during long rides.
Wide base for more comfort
Using data collected from Retül foot scans, Specialized designed the base plate 4mm wider at the ball of the foot compared to previous models. This wider base provides increased stability and more comfort during cycling.
Lightweight and stiff carbon sole
Due to the optimized construction of the carbon sole, it is 20g lighter than the previous generation, the S-Works 7. Despite the reduced weight, the sole maintains the same stiffness thanks to an internal I-Beam. This guarantees optimal power transfer and efficiency.
Refined fit with Retül data
An updated last, based on Retül data, better aligns with the shape of cyclists' feet. The last leans more towards the lateral side for a snug, tailored fit that enhances wearing comfort.
Asymmetric heel and lace closure
The asymmetric heel cap provides support on the medial side and removes material on the lateral side, allowing for a lower collar. The lace closure system offers extensive adjustment possibilities across the entire foot.
Versatile cleats and durable heel
Titanium alloy cleat nuts can be rotated to position the pedals/cleats 5mm backward. The three-bolt cleat pattern is suitable for all major road pedals. The anti-slip, replaceable heel provides extra grip and is internally secured with recessed screws.
